It Begins!

Welcome one and all to the second annual Summer Reading Challenge! As we all begin our reading journey together this summer I would like to remind you of the rules...

Rules:
1. Be nice to others (remember we are all having fun here)
2. Have Fun!
3. Try to post at least once a week about what you are reading (that is what makes it fun to read with others!)

Your challenge is your own and you may change it at any time, the idea is to read something this summer, and get to know the other readers out there.

The challenge will run until August 1, 2007 this year and I will continue to accept requests to join until June 7, 2007. If you would like to join and you have not yet please send an email to amandaweeklyzen@yahoo.com.

If you have questions about the challenge check out this link for all the info you will need. Also make sure you use the blogger labels set up for each weeks challenge so we all can find your posts easily see this post for info.

Happy Reading!
Amanda

One More Day

Hello All SRC Round 2 Challengers!

Tomorrow is the official start of SRC Round 2! If you have not yet done so, accept your invite and post an introduction to the blog so everyone can get to know you and your reading challenge. Make sure to label the post Introduction/Challenge so we can find you later. Many have also choosen to label their posts with their names which is a fantastic idea! If you have the same name as someone else (for example there are several Amanda's) try to come up with a screen name or a nickname that is different so you can create a label just for your posts. Links to the labels used are in the sidebar.

If you have not yet joined and would still like to, I will continue to send out invites only until June 7, 2007, so please send an email soon to amandaweeklyzen@yahoo.com with your Name, email (for the invite) and blog address (not required if you do not have one). I will send out an invite from blogger which you will need to accept to be able to post and then I will add you to the sidebar.

Rules:
1. Be nice to others (remember we are all having fun here)
2. Have Fun!
3. Try to post at least once a week about what you are reading (that is what makes it fun to read with others!)

Your challenge is your own and you may change it at any time, the idea is to read something this summer, and get to know the other readers out there.

Challenge begins June 1, 2007 and ends August 1, 2007

Happy Reading

All readers of all levels and genres are welcome to the summer reading challenge. The idea is to create reading goals all your own and post here your challenge, your reviews and recommendations as well as your success and failures. The Challenge begins JUNE 1 2007 and ends August 1, 2007.

Some examples of challenges are:
1. Read all the books on your book club list
2. Read only fiction or nonfiction or poetry or....
3. Read one author all summer
4. Pick a random shelf at your local library and read the books from it
5. Read all those books (or some) you always wanted to read
6. Read one book for one challenge (there are many online groups and different challenges)

If you would like to join in on the summer reading challenge send an email with your name, blog address, and email to amandaweeklyzen@yahoo.com with JOIN SUMMER READING CHALLENGE in the subject line.

Once you have received and accepted your blogger invitation (note you will need to create a blogger account to sign up... it is easy and free). Come on over and post an introduction along with your challenge. Be sure to use the label Introduction/Challenge on your post.

After you have settled in be sure to read all the post labeled admin annoucements to make sure you know all the how to's and take a look at all the members introductions and challenges by clicking the Introduction/Challenge link.

***Note*** It is important that you use labels on this blog so that other members can find your information. When you are a member of the blog and you are logged in head over to the posting section. At the bottom of the create post (where you are writing your information) there is a section labels for this post. Select the Show All function to see which label will be appropriate for your post. *****
